Practices
If field or weather conditions warrant or an unforeseen situation arises a Head Coach may cancel their team’s practice in which case the Head Coach will notify their team ASAP, text, along with a call and/or email.
Sessions & Games
If field or weather conditions warrant the NWYSA may cancel a day’s activities in which case the Head Coaches will be notified ASAP, email, and/or call. Followed by the Head Coaches notifying their teams ASAP, text, along with a call and/or email. In addition to the NWYSA's decision being posting on the website’s Home Page along with it being emailed to each member. All canceled sessions and games will if possible be re-scheduled. If needed, a day's activities start times may be pushed out up to 1 hour should there be a break in the weather conditions. Sessions, dependent upon the weather the duration may be shorten.
Lighting & Thunderstorm Warning
At first sighting, a practice, session, or game must be suspended and players moved to an indoor location, car, building, etc., and the practice, session, or game not resumed until 30 minutes have elapsed after the last sighting. If suspended for more than 1 hour the activity will be canceled. All activities must be canceled during a thunderstorm warning.
Tornado
All activities must be canceled during a watch or warning.
